Linux and Food
Submitted by diveli on Sat, 11/01/2008 - 17:40Today started with an excellent eggs-on-toast breakfast, followed by a stalled attempt to go to the market by a Movember problem... I love SLAs implicating me that I wasn't aware of.. especially when there's no compensation (yes, that's right)
Finally got to the market, it's been a while since we attacked Gleadall St. but it was worth it, better than ever. Looks like we have some excellent ingredients for a solid pasta tonight.

Intel Pro/Wireless 4965 on 2.6.26-1-686 (Debian Lenny)
Submitted by diveli on Sun, 10/19/2008 - 15:10I recently acquired a Fujitsu Lifebook T2010 tablet for use as my work machine (finally giving me the opportunity to put aside a very tired Dell Dimension 4700). This tablet has an Intel Pro/Wireless 4965 wireless card. I'd used the 3945 before on a Dell Inspiron with minimum fuss (install the firmware, make a wpa_supplicant.conf, Bob's your uncle), so I figured I'd have a similar situation.

Howto: Highly available Zimbra cluster using Heartbeat and DRBD
Submitted by diveli on Wed, 08/27/2008 - 14:10This morning I successfully set up a clustered, high availability pair of Zimbra (VMware virtual) servers, synced with DRBD and using Heartbeat to failover to the secondary standby server.
This is a howto that tries to cover *all* the steps, as there seems to be a great series of Howto's on the subject that in one way or another, leave something out with 'I am assuming you already (insert service here) working and will not cover this' clauses. In particular I ran into a few small hurdles with DRBD and hostnames and whatnot, so tried to document what I needed to do to make it work.
